Will Bank Cut-Off Times Remain the Same?

Exciting Announcement! Our 3:00 PM cut-off time is going away! Starting December 6, 2024, all transactions made in-person with a bank associate are processed on the business day they are received. This means that all transactions made in-person with a First Independent Bank Employee during open hours are processed on that business day. Transactions received on Saturdays or days the bank is closed will be processed the following business day. A business day is every day except Saturdays, Sundays, and federal holidays.

DO I NEED TO MAKE CHANGES TO MY QUICKBOOKS OR QUICKEN ONLINE BANKING CONNECTION?

Yes, our digital technology and banking system upgrade will require that you update your Online Banking connection. Below are Core Conversion Instructions that will help you seamlessly migrate to the upgraded options starting on December 9 at 8:00 AM.

Intuit aggregation services could be interrupted for up to 5 business days after December 9 and may impact Quicken Win/Mac Express Web Connect and Quickbooks Online Express Web Connect. During that time, you can download a QFX or QBO file as an alternative.

We also recommend reviewing any downloaded transactions after completing the instructions above to ensure that transactions were not duplicated or missed on the register.

When is Bill Pay unavailable?

WHEN DO FUNDS GET REMOVED FROM MY ACCOUNT IF I USE BILL PAY?

  • The Processing Date is the date funds will be removed from your account. This date will change based on your selection for the "When should it occur?" date.
  • The "When should it occur?" date is the scheduled date you want the billing company to receive your payment.

The graphic is titled "Helpful definitions to stay sufficient. Bill Pay processing vs. scheduled date." There is a screenshot of the mobile version of Bill Pay with the definitions that were in the bullet points above.
